For men the toilet is often a place to relax and catch up on the sports pages. For women it’s the one thing that can’t be clean enough.
Here are a few tips to keep your toilet clean and germ free:
Invest in a good toilet brush. It may sit idle from time to time, but like an old friend it will always be there when you need it. Just rinse it under the flushing water with a splash of bleach to clean it following use.
There are many toilet cleaners on the market. One with a curved neck is handy for sure-fire squirting under the rim of the bowl.
If you prefer a natural clean, scatter some bicarbonate of soda around the bowl, then pour over some white vinegar. A thorough scrub with the toilet brush and you’re done.
You can also use a solution of bicarb and hot water to clean the cistern. Or simply sprinkle with bicarb and wipe with a damp sponge, then rinse and wipe again to remove any residue.
